Easter Prayer For The Soul

 

Encourage Yourself in the Lord

 

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him,

because the soul of all the people was grieved, ……

but David encouraged himself in the Lord His God.

1 Samuel 30:6 KJV

 

At a challenging moment in his life, David felt defeated and needed to be encouraged. Yet, he didn’t go to his family or friends. To receive what he needed, he went directly to the Lord.

 

Sometimes, no one else will be able to deeply encourage you. At that point, you must decide not to breakdown but breakthrough. You must decide not to stay in a place of heaviness and encourage yourself in the Lord! No one can encourage you like the Lord. No one can lift your burdens and revive you like the Lord. No one can give you a second wind like the Lord. No one can show you the way out like the Lord.

 

God will put might in your heart and strengthen the core of you. God’s peace will keep you when your back is against the wall. God’s Word will remind you of Who He is and who you are. In prayer, our Heavenly Father will speak to you and assure you everything will be alright.

 

As David did, encourage yourself in the Lord today!

Prayer: Father, I thank You that I can encourage myself in You! There is no one like You Lord. You are my fortress, You are my Healer, and You are my Provider. Regardless of how I feel, I will still praise You. I receive strength in my heart and peace in my mind, today. Thank You, Jesus, for lifting my head, and like David, You will show me what to do. Like David, I have the victory. In Jesus’ most powerful name, Amen!
